Can I simply participate?
No, you have to apply here before March 15, 2018.
Why is there a ticket fee for a free event?
TechSprint is a free event with limited seats.
Should we reach our capacity, the 300 kr. no-show fee kicks in. It works like this:
Once we reach maximum capacity, an email will go out to our accepted applicants to add their bank details. We do not charge any money, we only reserve 300 kr. on your account until you have checked in at the event.
We do this to ensure that those selected and reserving a spot actually join.
You can cancel your registration until March 15, 2018 by writing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What if I am admitted but can't go?
You can cancel your registration and get your no-show fee refunded until application deadline, by writing us at email@example.com.
If you discover that you are prevented from going after the application deadline, we might not be able to refund your no-show fee. Please get in contact with us if this is the case, and we will evaluate on case-by-case basis.
When does the application period close?
In order to secure a seat, we need your application no later than March 15, 2018.

Can I participate with a predefined team?
Depending on your teammates admission to the TechSprint, you are welcome to form a team pre-event, as long as you follow the four TechSprint rules.
How are the teams formed?
If you don’t already have a team at arrival, this is just fine. Team formation takes place Friday evening after the pitching session. If you can’t find a team, we will help you join one.
Are we expected to work on our solutions beyond the event?
No, there is no obligation or expectation of this.
We do encourage you to have a discussion with your teammates about this, to set the level of expectation.
How experienced are the participants expected to be?
We experience a large diversity of knowledge and experience at our events. Some are early students, others have 15 years of experience in the field. This is great because it means fresh perspective on problems while access to domain expertise.
Do you have to prepare a pitch before attending?
No, you don’t have to. We encourage to have made some thoughts before the event and to be willing to pitch. Pitching even a vague idea can spur another participant’s imagination, so don’t be afraid to speak your mind. For the initial idea pitching you have 60 seconds. We propose you spend the first 10 sec. On who you are, 20 sec on which problem you’re addressing, and 30 sec on how you are planning to solve it. You are free to pitch as many ideas as you please.
Does it make sense to participate if I’m not interested in taking the idea further?
Yes! Even if you don’t want to take the idea further, the experience will still be very valuable in terms of personal and professional development.
Who can apply?
Anyone are allowed to apply! We want to allow anyone with an idea and some skills to implement it to come.
Is it possible to form teams beforehand?
You can form teams beforehand if you want, but we have limited opportunity to facilitate/support this. Besides, you all need to be accepted into the TechSprint.
